Job Description
Looking for more than just a job? Build a career with a company that values its people, supports growth, and knows great teamwork gets the job done. Pelton Shepherd Industries is looking for motivated individuals to join our production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your work makes a real difference every day.
Why Pelton Shepherd Industries?
For over 70 years, Pelton Shepherd Industries has been a family-operated leader in cold chain and temperature-controlled packaging solutions, serving industries from food service to pharmaceuticals. We've built our reputation on the dedication and talent of our employees, because great products start with great people.
We're committed to innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement, but we also believe work should be rewarding. We invest in our employees' growth, recognize hard work, and foster a culture where people can thrive. After all, keeping products cool is our business, but our team culture is anything but cold.
What You’ll Do:
Safety First: Follow safety protocols, handle chemicals with care (using PPE), clean up spills, and report hazards to keep the workplace secure.
Mix Master: Follow SOPs to mix products, check viscosity, log activities, and store chemicals properly. Stay ahead by reordering supplies before they run out.
Equipment Pro: Inspect and maintain mix tanks, agitators, RO systems, and pumps. Keep salt levels in check and flag any issues.
Team Support: Supply packers with boxes/partitions, assist stackers when needed, and tackle additional tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
Quality Expert: Multitask to ensure product quality, complete paperwork accurately, and juggle multiple mix tanks with out-of-the-box thinking.
What You Bring:
Skills: Basic math and reading (must pass tests), clear communication, and strong time management.
Mindset: Proactive, flexible, and aware—anticipating needs like low water or mix levels.
Experience: Ability to follow SOPs and think creatively under pressure.
Physical Stamina: Comfortable with frequent walking, talking, hearing, and feeling/touching; occasional climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. (with equipment-assisted pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.).
Why Join Us?
Be part of a high-energy team that values safety, quality, and efficiency.
Grow your skills with hands-on responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
Make an impact by delivering flawless products to our customers.
Physical Demands: Frequent walking, talking, hearing, and feeling/touching; occasional climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. (equipment-assisted pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.).
