IT Systems Administrator - Azure & Microsoft 365

Position Summary

Renu Robotics is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator- Azure & Microsoft 365 to administer and support the company's Microsoft cloud environment, IT infrastructure, endpoint devices, and core business systems.

This is a hands-on systems administration role responsible for Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint Online, Windows endpoints, identity and access management, and network connectivity. The position will also provide technical support to employees as needed.

The ideal candidate has strong systems administration experience and is comfortable working independently across multiple areas of IT within a small, growing technology organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Systems Administration

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID, including users, groups, roles, permissions, MFA, and access.
• Administer Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.
• Administer Microsoft Intune
• Configure and maintain device enrollment, policies, applications, and software deployments.
• Manage user provisioning, licensing, access changes, and employee onboarding/offboarding.
• Monitor system health, availability, and performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Perform software deployments, updates, patching, and system maintenance.
• Support network infrastructure and connectivity, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless networks, and firewalls.
• Assist with Azure resources, backup, recovery, and business continuity.
• Maintain IT hardware inventory, asset tracking, and system documentation.
• Coordinate hardware procurement, deployment, replacement, and equipment refreshes.
• Use PowerShell and other tools to automate administrative tasks and improve IT processes.
• Assist the Head of IT with infrastructure projects, implementations, migrations, and system improvements.

SharePoint & Microsoft 365

• Administer SharePoint Online sites, permissions, document libraries, and access.
• Maintain company and departmental SharePoint sites.
• Support Microsoft Teams and SharePoint integrations.
• Develop and maintain document libraries, lists, workflows, and organizational structures.
• Assist with Power Automate workflows and Microsoft Forms.
• Maintain IT procedures, technical documentation, and knowledge base resources.

Technical Help Desk Support

• Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, account, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot Windows devices, Microsoft 365 applications, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, printers, VPN, and network connectivity.
• Resolve user access, authentication, permissions, and endpoint issues.
• Escalate complex issues when appropriate and ensure timely communication and follow-up.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of systems administration experience.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Intune.
• Experience administering Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online.
• Experience with identity and access management, including users, groups, roles, permissions, MFA, and SSO.
• Working knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless networking, and firewalls.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage systems administration responsibilities and prioritize multiple technical issues and projects.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Renu Robotics does not sponsor employment visas for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, or Endpoint Administrator certifications.
• Experience with Linux Systems Administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with Power Automate.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Machines and Azure networking.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
• Experience working in a small IT team supporting a growing technology, engineering, or manufacturing organization.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to install and troubleshoot computer and network equipment.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
