Position Summary
- Performs all graphic design and pre-press duties for all internal and external SJ/C publications or other printed material. Designs collateral to include brochures, fliers, direct mail pieces, reports, banners, billboards, online ads, social media graphics, digital directories and advertisements as needed. Maintains all design folders and archives files regularly. Gathers outside print bids and coordinates the production of such work.
Education
- Bachelors in Graphic Design - Required
Experience
- 3-5 Years Graphic Design and pre-press printing - Preferred
- Additional Experience Information - Must have working knowledge and experience in print production and setting of mechanical guides. Must have knowledge in the Adobe Creative Suite with proficiency in: Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Agency experience is a plus.

Core Job Functions
- Designs/or provides layout for system collateral pieces (both print and digital) according to system branding standards. Submits final prepared and packaged files after all approvals have been received.
- Based on creative direction provided by the chief marketing officer and/or manager of art direction, develops creative campaigns based on strategic objectives and messaging strategies.
- Works with ad agency collaboratively on print/outdoor campaigns to include resizing for publications or specification needs for outdoor. Provides all necessary art files to vendors in the requested formats.
- Seeks bids for printing of "new" printed jobs. Prepares files for printing and reviews press proofs, hard proofs, or digital proofs to ensure quality of print job. Compares invoice to bids to verify pricing and delivery schedule.
- Ensures that the department has the proper hardware and software for graphic design needs and reports to chief marketing officer and/or manager of art direction any deficiencies. Maintains and catalogs more than 20 GB of live information. This includes of any and all agency work, freelance work, and internal system graphic design projects on the Macs. Backup all files to the server on a weekly basis.
