RN - Same Day Surgery & PAT in Aspen, Colorado at Aspen Valley Hospital

We are currently hiring for a seasonal REGISTERED NURSE PATIENT NAVIGATOR to work day shift within our Perioperative Services Department.

Compensation Range:

$90 per hour

Non Exempt

Night and weekend shift differentials up to $6 per hour!

Estimated Start Date & Length of Assignment: 12/01/2024—4/21/2025

Requirements:

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• At least 3 years of inpatient or outpatient orthopedic nursing experience required and/or medical/surgical experience.

Position Overview:

The Registered Nurse Patient Navigator uses their perioperative-specific clinical experience and knowledge to navigate surgery patients through the perioperative diagnostic and treatment process. The Patient Navigator also performs pre-anesthesia testing (PAT) for surgery patients. The Patient Navigator establishes a positive and respectful relationship with patients and their families, and plays an essential role in facilitating a positive experience and outcome.
