Schwab rehabilitation Hospital is looking for a compassionate, dedicated and energetic Registry Inpatient Therapy Technician to join our highly trained and respected therapy team. This unique opportunity allows the Therapy Tech to expand their skills by assisting our large interdisciplinary therapy team. Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital is a freestanding, not-for-profit, 102-licensed bed facility located in Chicago and offers the continuum of care from acute care to inpatient rehab to outpatient therapy for adults and children. The Therapy Technician works under direct supervision of the therapists and/or therapy assistants and the job responsibilities include: Preparing patients and equipment for treatment Overseeing general exercises that do not require skilled therapy Maintaining/restocking supplies for the department Cleaning and organization of treatment areas Assisting therapists and assistants with patient care including but not limited to positioning, toileting, application of splints and casts etc. Acting as an extension of the therapist by providing hands on assistance during therapeutic activities Assisting in addition tasks/duties as instructed by therapist, assistant or manager
