FT Faculty MSN Nursing Program Lead

We are currently looking for a FT Faculty member to Lead our Nursing Program

The Nursing Program Lead develops, implements, updates, and promotes the Nursing program. The Nursing Program Lead assists in the supervision and assessment of faculty members, initiates, recommends, and coordinates courses and instructors for the MSN program, and assists with planning and coordination of corporate faculty orientation. This leader ensures the program meets all requirements of the CCNE accreditation agency and federal/state requirements. The position reports to the CAO/Provost and teaches wherever and whenever assigned as determined by instructional needs including branch centers and College off-site locations, as necessary. The Nursing Program Lead serves as a supervisor, leader, mentor, and role model to students and personnel in the MSN Program. This position is responsible for development, implementation and evaluation of MSN curriculum as well as maintaining program accreditation. This person will also work with others in the Health Sciences area to expand the nursing program into other areas. This person will also be the clinical/administrative liaison with the Shadyside School of Nursing Diploma Program which HU supports with academic programming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide instructional administrative oversight to the MSN and other Nursing programs
  • Teach up to 9 credits per semester. Since the program is part of the Master’s program with CPT on-site teaching, one day per month in Harrisburg is required.
  • One of the key responsibilities of the Program Director is to ensure the MSN program meets and maintains accreditation standards and leads the reaccreditation process. This is a crucial aspect of the role, as it directly impacts the program's reputation, and the quality of education provided.
  • Provide leadership in CCNE reaccreditation process for the MSN program expected in Fall of 2025.
  • Assist in developing and implementing business/marketing and student recruitment plans for the MSN program's current and future needs.

Minimum Qualifications and Education

  • Master’s degree in nursing required
  • PhD or DNP from a regionally accredited institution required
  • Minimum (5) years teaching experience
