Handy Man at Apple Valley Dental & Braces – Yakima, Washington

Apple Valley Dental & Braces is looking for a Part-time Handy Man to join our team. This position is responsible for the repair, painting and trouble shooting issues in the clinics. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties Perform general maintenance and repairs in residential and commercial properties Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions Repair drywall, paint walls, and perform basic carpentry work Desired experience as a maintenance person or in a similar role Desired knowledge of general maintenance and repair techniques Desired knowledge in using hand and power tools Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willing to do some travel Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisor Skills & Qualifications Previous experience with repair and maintenance. Must be able to use basic hand tools (hammer, wrench etc.)and power tools (drill, screwdriver etc.)and perform basic maintenance on these items. Must be able to perform physical labor which includes but is not limited to lifting up to 100 pounds on a regular basis as well as walking during work hours.
