Surgical Technologist Apprenticeship at Riverwood Healthcare Center – Aitkin, Minnesota

Important Notice-

This is a full‑time Surgical Technologist Apprenticeship.

About the Position:

Key member of the surgical team who must be attentive to all aspects of the surgical procedure to ensure a safe environment for the patient. Under specific training and supervision, an apprentice will perform surgical technician and sterile processing duties while studying toward certification, within limits of current training and competency. Will assist other members of the health care team in the delivery of patient care during surgical procedures. Facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. Maintains the sterile field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team.

What we are looking for:

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Commitment to complete Riverwood Surgical Technologist Apprenticeship Program within prescribed timelines.
• Related work experience, Certified Nursing Assistant, LPN, Medical Assistant experience, or other medical profession-related experience preferred.
• Medical terminology or human anatomy beneficial.

License/Certificates:

• American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire
