Job SummaryThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including shipping, packing, picking, quality control (QC), inventory, and receiving. This role ensures accurate, efficient, and timely order fulfillment while maintaining inventory integrity and operational flow. The Supervisor leads a team of approximately 20 employees, enforces standard operating procedures (SOPs), and collaborates cross-functionally to support overall business objectives.
Essential Functions- Must understand and be able to perform all core warehouse functions (shipping, packing, picking, QC, inventory, and receiving).
- Supervise daily warehouse operations to meet productivity, accuracy, and service level goals.
- Oversee order fulfillment processes, ensuring orders are picked, inspected, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards, including product inspections and error resolution.
- Manage inbound receiving operations, including scheduling, unloading, verification, and system receiving of all shipments.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis of variances.
- Monitor and maintain proper inventory storage, location setup, replenishment, and space utilization.
- Ensure shipping documentation accuracy, including Bills of Lading, labeling, and carrier compliance.
- Train, coach, and develop warehouse staff on SOPs, safety practices, equipment use, and workflow efficiency.
- Lead, assign, and monitor daily tasks and labor planning for a team of approximately 20 employees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (inventory, customer service, logistics, and purchasing) to resolve operational issues.
- Track and report key performance metrics including productivity, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and receiving performance.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with company safety standards.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of warehouse equipment (RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.).
- Enforce workplace policies, including safety, attendance, and productivity standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to meet business and operational needs.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of warehouse experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, QC, and order fulfillment.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
- Familiarity with shipping carriers, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving materials within the warehouse. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate warehouse equipment as necessary.
Work Environment
The work environment is a warehouse setting with exposure to moving equipment, moderate noise, and varying temperatures. The position operates in a fast-paced, production-driven environment where accuracy, safety, and efficiency are critical. Overtime, extended hours, weekends, or peak-season schedules may be required based on business needs.
