Position Summary
The Overnight Prep Cook is responsible for completing assigned prep tasks that support daily cafeteria, café, and catering operations. Working overnight, this role focuses on executing a structured prep list, maintaining organization, and ensuring the kitchen is ready for efficient morning service.
This is an entry-level kitchen position ideal for someone looking to grow in a professional, chef-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
-Complete daily prep lists as assigned
-Wash, cut, portion, and prepare vegetables, proteins, and basic ingredients
-Prepare simple sauces, dressings, and menu components following recipes
-Properly label, date, and store products
-Maintain a clean and organized workstation
-Assist with basic baking or assembly tasks as needed
-Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
-Communicate low inventory or product concerns to management
What We’re Looking For
-Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred but not required
-Basic knife skills (or willingness to learn)
-Ability to follow recipes and clear instructions
-Dependable and able to work independently overnight
-Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
-Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Schedule & Work Environment
-Overnight shifts (schedule to be determined)
