Job Summary

The Yard Driver is responsible for safely moving trucks within the facility yard to support efficient loading and receiving operations. This role ensures vehicles are positioned properly for production and shipping while maintaining safe yard traffic flow. The Yard Driver also serves as a coverage driver and may be required to run delivery routes when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

Safely move trucks throughout the yard, including transporting units between receiving and loading areas.Position trucks at designated loading/unloading areas to support production and shipping schedules.Assist with loading trucks when needed to help maintain operational efficiency.Perform pre-trip inspections including checking lights, tires, and overall vehicle condition.Report any equipment issues or safety concerns immediately.Serve as a backup driver and run delivery routes when necessary.Support transportation operations and maintain a safe yard environment.Qualifications

Valid driver’s license required.CDL is not required for this position.Experience operating bobtail or commercial delivery vehicles preferred.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to safety and ability to follow instructions.Schedule - This is a cover position requiring flexibility to work both morning and night shifts depending on operational needs.

Work Environment - Industrial laundry facility and outdoor yard environment with exposure to vehicle traffic, noise, weather conditions, and machinery.

Schedule: This is a cover shift and requires flexibility to work both night and mornings shifts.

Monday: 5:00pm - 1:130am, Tuesday: 5:00pm - 1:30am, Wednesday: OFF, Thursday 3:30pm - 12:00am, - Saturday 6:00pm - 2:30am, Sunday: OFF
