This role sits at the center of financial planning and analysis, supporting key operational and support functions through in-depth reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Working closely with business leaders, you will help identify cost optimization opportunities and enhance financial transparency across the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial analysis, supporting forecasting cycles, and providing actionable insights that drive operational efficiency and cost optimization across multiple business areas.
- Analyze departmental budgets, forecasts, and variances, providing insights and recommending corrective actions
- Lead reporting, analysis, and forecasting for assigned expense categories and operational functions
- Evaluate vendor and operational expenditures to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
- Prepare monthly financial performance reports and present insights to senior leadership and operational teams
- Monitor and analyze capital expenditures, including supporting ROI evaluations
- Analyze headcount-related expenses, identifying key drivers such as volume, rate, and mix
- Develop financial models and forecasting inputs for monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles
- Use SQL and data tools to extract, manipulate, and connect financial and operational datasets
- Recommend process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency
This role requires strong financial analysis expertise, advanced technical skills, and the ability to translate data into strategic business insights. You should be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and cross-functionally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in a Financial Analyst or FP&A-related role
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Experience working with SQL or similar data querying tools for financial analysis
- Strong analytical, reporting, and accounting capabilities with a detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage large datasets and extract meaningful business insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to leadership
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Experience in mortgage servicing or financial services environments is a plus
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI is highly desirable
- Competitive annual salary range: $58,700 – $98,600 (based on experience and qualifications)
