General Manager
Home2 Suites by Hilton – Philadelphia Convention Center

Wurzak Hotel Group is searching for a dynamic, culture-driven General Manager to lead a very exciting hotel— the Home2 Suites by Hilton Philadelphia Convention Center. With 248 guest rooms, this is one of the largest Home2 Suites in the country, located in the heart of a vibrant, fast-moving center city market.
This is not your average select-service GM role. This hotel is busy, lively, and requires a leader who thrives in the energy — someone who builds culture, delivers exceptional guest experiences, and drives strong financial results. POSITION SUMMARY
The General Manager is the strategic and operational leader of the hotel, fully accountable for Rooms, Breakfast & Food Service Operations, Revenue Management, Sales, and overall financial performance. You are the culture carrier — inspiring your leadership team, championing the guest experience, and setting the standard for what great hospitality looks like every single day. This is a 24/7 operation. Flexibility in schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic & Executive Leadership
• Set and execute the overall strategic vision for the hotel in alignment with Wurzak Hotel Group and the Hilton brand.
• Lead with personality, presence, and accountability — creating a culture where team members feel empowered, engaged, and inspired.
• Serve as the ultimate decision-maker while fostering collaboration across all departments.
Rooms Leadership
• Mentor and develop department leaders across Front Office, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure seamless operations and a consistently elevated guest experience.
• Hold leaders accountable for guest satisfaction metrics, online reputation, and brand standards compliance.
• Champion a culture of service excellence from check-in to check-out.
Breakfast & Food Service Operations
• Empower the food service team to deliver a high-volume, high-energy breakfast operation that serves as a key touchpoint in the guest experience.
• Hold your team accountable for service quality, labor management, cost controls, and brand compliance.
• Drive a welcoming, lively atmosphere that guests remember and return for.
Revenue Management & Financial Performance
• Collaborate with corporate revenue partners while maintaining on-property accountability for results.
• Develop and manage budgets, analyze financial performance, and implement cost controls to maximize profitability.
Sales & Marketing Oversight
• Oversee sales strategy and performance across transient, group, and local market segments.
• In conjunction with your sales team, actively sell the hotel by building relationships, driving partnerships, and positioning Home2 Philadelphia as a market leader
Team Development & Culture
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team that elevates the entire hotel operation.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-energy work environment that encourages innovation and growth.
• Lead with strong communication skills that are clear, confident, and engaging.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Proven experience as a General Manager in a similar hotel environment
• Experience within the Hilton ecosystem (brand, systems, culture) is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams across Rooms, food service operations, Revenue Management, and Sales.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for culture-building.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&Ls and driving revenue growth.
• Proficiency with hotel systems, revenue platforms, and Microsoft Office.
• A deep passion for hospitality, people, and creating unforgettable guest experiences.
