As Banquets Assistant Manager, youre the behind-the-scenes maestro making every event sparkle! You keep the banquet department humming, balancing costs like a pro and delivering VIP-level guest service. From setting the stage to orchestrating service and cleanup, youve got it covered. Plus, you team up with the Banquets Manager to recruit, train, motivate, and cheer on your awesome banquet crew. Every event is a hit with you in charge!

This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM), overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.

KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guest Greeting Guru: Approach every guest and teammate with a friendly, service-first attitude, making each encounter memorable and uplifting. Your warm welcome sets the perfect tone for unforgettable events!
  • Attendance All-Star: Show up reliably and ready to shine, meeting Aimbridge Hospitalitys standardsno matter the schedule. Youre there when the hotel needs you most, weekdays, weekends, or holidays!
  • Style & Safety Standout: Keep personal appearance and grooming on point, always donning your uniform and name tag with pride. Plus, maintain required certifications like Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid so youre prepared for anything!
  • Hotel Harmony Hero: Adhere to Aimbridge policies and regulations to keep hotel operations smooth, safe, and efficient. Youre the detail-oriented dynamo making sure everythings just right!
  • Banquet Superpower Specialist: Prepare schedules and payroll, coordinate food and beverage needs, support setup and breakdown, train staff, keep accurate counts for plating, attend meetings, handle lost-and-found, maintain inventory, and moreyour multitasking magic keeps every banquet a success!

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of hotel or related experience, plus supervisory background.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to convey ideas clearly under pressure.
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and comfortable with financial data and basic math.
  • Quick decision-maker who can evaluate options and solve problems efficiently in stressful situations.
  • Effective listener who understands and responds to concerns from team members and guests.
