Overnight Houskeeping Supervisor at Pier Sixty LLC – New York, New York

Job Description:

The housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the standards of cleanliness are met. They will assign tasks, inspect work to ensure it's up to standard, and provide training on best handling guest requests. Maintain inventory list. They are skilled at developing and implementing strategies to improve the functioning of departments but also possess excellent management skills. Must ensure that operations run efficiently by following Pier Sixty's standards. This is an overnight position.

Responsibilities

• Assign work assignments to Housekeeping Team Members
• Utilize Check Lists to inspect assigned duties
• Investigating and addressing complaints regarding poor housekeeping service.
• Providing training to the housekeeping staff.
• Regularly taking inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering stock as needed.
• Issuing cleaning supplies and equipment to housekeeping staff as needed.
• Oversee staff daily
• Respond to customer complaints and special requests
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies

Skills

• Work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role
• Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks for large organizations
• Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products
• Excellent organizational and team management skills
• Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
