About This Position
JOB TITLE: | Maintenance Assistant - Seasonal |

REPORTS TO: | Facilities Supervisor |
FLSA STATUS: | Non-Exempt |
POSITION TYPE: | Seasonal maintenance help, approximately 40hours per week for up to 6 months, Hours would be 7am to 4pm. |
SALARY RANGE: | $18.50-$19.50 |
SUMMARY:
General building and grounds maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a lawn mower and other lawn equipment.
- Maintain ground around the Township Hall, Park and Cemetery.
- Assist in helping others in the Maintenance Department.
- Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to operate equipment involved in the maintenance of ground and facilities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to follow written and or oral instructions and communicated effectively.
- Ability to follow safety procedures to ensure safe working environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: | High school diploma or GED is desired, or work towards high school diploma or GED required. |
Experience: | Must be 18 years of age or older to operate machinery |
Licenses: | Drivers License |
Certifications: | None |
Miscellaneous: | Must can steel toe shoes |
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Most all your work will be done outside.
- There will be limited noisy level. (mower and weed whips)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift and care up to 50lbs without assistance.
- Ability to work outside in the heat.
