Position Summary:
The Sports Center Greeter serves as the first point of contact for members and guests, creating a welcoming and positive experience upon arrival. This role is responsible for greeting guests, verifying access, signing individuals in, and ensuring all visitors are authorized to use the facility. The Greeter plays an important role in maintaining safety, organization, and excellent customer service within the Sports Center.

Reports to: Sports Center Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all members and guests in a friendly, professional manner as they enter the Sports Center.
- Verify membership status and guest eligibility in accordance with Club/Sports Center policies.
- Sign members and guests in using the designated system or sign in procedures.
- Ensure guests are properly registered and accompanied when required.
- Answer basic questions about the Sports Center, amenities, programs, and policies.
- Communicate any concerns, issues, or policy violations to management promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk/entry area.
- Enforce Sports Center rules and access guidelines respectfully and consistently.
- Assist with crowd flow during peak hours, programs, or special events.
- Provide support to other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Friendly, outgoing, and service oriented demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain professional and courteous in all situations.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow policies and procedures.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems, tablets, or sign in software.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Prior customer service, front desk, or hospitality experience.
- Experience working in a sports, fitness, or recreation environment (preferred).
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk throughout the Sports Center as needed.
- Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively with members, guests, and staff.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to operate sign in systems, tablets, or computers.
- Occasional lifting or carrying of light items (up to 15 lbs.), such as clipboards or small supplies.
- Ability to manage a fast paced environment during peak times while remaining courteous and attentive.
