The Account Manager Trainee is an entry-level, developmental role designed to build the foundational skills needed to succeed as an Account Manager. This position supports customer satisfaction and retention efforts by assisting with client relationships, service coordination, and identifying opportunities for landscape enhancements. The trainee will work closely with Account Managers, Field Managers, and internal teams while participating in structured training and hands-on learning.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Development
- Participate in structured training focused on account management, operations, and client relations
- Shadow Account Managers and Field Managers to gain knowledge of service delivery and client expectations
- Learn company systems, processes, and service standards
Customer Retention & Support
- Assist in maintaining client relationships and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Support communication with clients regarding service updates and issue resolution
- Help track and follow up on client requests and concerns
Enhancement Sales Support
- Assist in identifying potential landscape enhancement opportunities
- Support the preparation of proposals and documentation
- Learn the sales process and contribute to achieving team goals
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Field Manager and Account Manager to understand site conditions and service needs
- Participate in property visits and inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Support coordination to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
Customer Interaction
- Attend onsite meetings with Account Managers to observe client interactions
- Maintain accurate records of client communications and activity in CRM systems
Budget & Pricing Support
- Assist in reviewing property budgets and service plans
- Support documentation for pricing updates and client approvals
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply; internship or related experience is a plus
- Interest in landscape management, customer service, and business development
- Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking) are required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with CRM systems is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with a willingness to learn
- Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving abilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Regular exposure to outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and other environmental elements
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
