Job Title: Tractor Fuel Specialist

Reports To: Driver Manager
Position Type: Full Time
Schedule: Mid Shift, 11:00am to 7:00pm, Mon - Fri
Wage: $25.00/Hourly
Purpose of Position:
1. To safely and efficiently fuel all tractors in Carlisle.
2. To provide a financial savings to the transportation department.

Appearance:
Maintains an appropriate appearance and dresses in accordance with the established dress code guidelines to your respective position.
Position Competency:
1. Ability to climb in and out of tractor safely.
2. Willingness to drive a Class A tractor trailer on private property and keep tractors clean.
3. A solid knowledge of all safety and regulatory requirements of operating a Class 8, commercial vehicle.
4. Must be able to lift 50lbs, climb in and out of truck cabs and trailers sit or stand for long periods of time.
Role ExpectationsSafety and Compliance:
- A solid knowledge of DOT regulations and the ability to abide by such regulations 100% of the time.
- Ability to understand and follow Allen Distribution policies and procedures 100% of the time.
- Reports immediately to Dispatch any unsafe acts or equipment that may cause injury or damage to others.
Tractor Fueling
- Safely fuel each tractor from the bulk fuel tank.
- Safely add DEF to each tractor nightly while the tractor is fueled.
Fleet Operations.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions from dispatch.
- Ability to work independently and track all fueling that is completed.
Maintenance:
- Ability to perform an effective pre or post trip inspections, communicate findings to Dispatch or Maintenance teams for effective resolution.
Quality:
- Complete fueling without spilling any fuel or DEF.
- Ability to communicate immediately to Dispatch if there are any issues that need communicated.
- Maintain clean interiors of tractors.
Initiative:
- Safely remove snow and ice in winter from vehicles.
- Communicates with Dispatch prior to end of day, if anything else is required.
- Stays on scheduled throughout the day, taking required breaks but no excessive breaks or time .
- Communicates their recommendations for improvements in all areas of responsibility.
