Tampa Family Health Centers operates qualifying community health center locations where eligible clinicians may be able to access federal loan repayment opportunities while building their careers in community-based healthcare.

That means your total financial opportunity can extend well beyond your annual salary, with the potential for up to $80,000 toward qualifying student loans.

Why Consider Residency Faculty?

This role gives physicians the opportunity to remain focused on direct patient care while also gaining experience in medical education.

As part of the residency faculty, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support and mentor Family Medicine residents
  • Build teaching experience over time
  • Participate in the growth of TFHC’s Family Medicine Residency Program
  • Work alongside residency leadership and other physician faculty
  • Continue maintaining an active outpatient clinical practice

This can be a great opportunity for a physician who is interested in teaching but does not want a heavily academic or administrative role.

Why Tampa?

Tampa offers year-round sunshine, Gulf Coast beaches, professional sports, diverse dining, outdoor recreation, cultural attractions, and welcoming communities throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Florida also has no state individual income tax, allowing physicians to keep more of their earned income compared with many other states.

Tampa is an exceptional place to build a meaningful medical career while enjoying an active and fulfilling lifestyle.
