About This Position
About the Role:
The Outpatient Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic development of outpatient healthcare services within a health care and social assistance setting. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care by managing clinical staff, coordinating program activities, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The manager will lead efforts to optimize patient outcomes through effective program design, resource allocation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external partners is essential to expand service offerings and enhance community engagement. Ultimately, this position drives the success and sustainability of outpatient programs by balancing operational efficiency with compassionate care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 year's professional experience in AoD, Mental Health or Human Services.
- Minimum of 3 years providing supervision to clinical staff.
- Master's Degree in Behavioral Health or related field preferred
- Required LISW or LPCC, Prefer an LISW-S or LPCC-S
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in healthcare information systems and data management.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Experience working with diverse patient populations and community health initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral health programs.
- Manages day-to-day operations in Outpatient services and is responsible for scheduling meetings, services and staffing.
- Responsible for overall productivity of outpatient staff.
- Provide coverage for clinical staff as needed for diagnostic assessments, intakes, therapy, and/or groups.
- Responsible for quality assurance in outpatient service delivery
- Supervise clinical staff including therapist, counselors, case manager, transitional housing and peer supports
- Develop, implement, and evaluate outpatient program policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Coordinate patient care activities, including scheduling, treatment planning, and follow-up to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor program performance metrics and prepare reports for senior leadership to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and patient access.
- Lead staff training and professional development initiatives to promote continuous learning and compliance.
- Address patient concerns and resolve operational issues promptly to maintain high levels of patient satisfaction.
