About This Position
Part-time Development Assistant Position Overview The Part-time Development Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the development team. This position is responsible for a variety of administrative and project-based tasks that ensure the smooth execution of fundraising, donor relations, and event activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Schedule: 20 hours per week, primarily worked within WABE’s regular business hours. Key Responsibilities Gift Acknowledgements: Prepare and send timely thank-you letters and receipts to donors, ensuring all contributions are properly recognized. Cornerstone Mailings and Invitations: Coordinate the production and distribution of Cornerstone mailings, event invitations, and other donor communications. Event Support: Conduct guest list research and manage RSVPs for events.Lead post-event follow-up, including thank-you communications and data updates.Provide on-site assistance during events, supporting logistics and guest needs as required. CRM Data Entry and Management: Enter and maintain accurate records in the CRM system, including notes from consultants (ie Cox Curry,Grantsscribes) and Planned Giving (PG) data.Assist with regular data audits and clean-up to ensure donor information is current and reliable. Donor Research and Data Maintenance: Research prospective donors and update contact information as needed.Maintain the integrity of donor records by identifying and correcting discrepancies. Reporting: Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly reports for development activities, fundraising progress, and event outcomes.General Administrative Support:Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the development team, including scheduling, document preparation, and responding to inquiries.Support special projects and other duties as assigned by the development leadership. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.Experience: Prior experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or administrative support is a plus. Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with CRM databases (e.g., [CRM_SYSTEM]), Microsoft Office Suite, and email platforms.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. Additional Requirements: Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for events.Ability to work collaboratively with team members and interact professionally with donors and stakeholders.
