Job Title: Residential Driver

Job Description: Trash Taxi of Georgia is looking for safety conscious, courteous and experienced professional drivers to join our family residential waste hauling business located in Acworth, GA.

Duties, Responsibilities, Working Conditions: This is a physically demanding job that requires drivers to collect and hand load residential waste and recycling as well as transporting this waste by a rear-load truck to a landfill site. Drivers are expected to always communicate professionally with customers and dispatchers. This includes receiving complaints about schedules and quality of service, taking note of and reporting such complaints while responding in a courteous and respectful manner to all parties. This position requires near continuous physical exertion such as repetitive lifting, pushing and pulling receptacles that weigh up to 75lbs in an environment filled with unpleasant sights and smells. Drivers must be able to read and understand a map, complete daily driver logs as well as pre and post trip inspections. This position requires you to work in all weather extremes including extreme hot or cold, wet or dry conditions.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• At least 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrakes endorsement
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Must be able to speak and read English well enough to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic and signals, respond to official questions, and be able to make legible entries on reports and records.
• At least 1 year of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL within the past 7 years
• Clean driving record
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background and motor vehicle records check and Department of Transportation Physical.
