Overview
Construction Support Engineering (D460) has an opportunity for a highly motivated experienced engineer for the test development group in D460. This job would be to coordinate the development, review, and completion of Viginia and Columbia test forms, CSDs and flushing diagrams. This job would require continuous interaction between many engineering departments and organizations within Electric Boat and the Government. The Test Development group of D460 works with all aspects of the Hull, Mechanical & Electrical discipline and coordinates with multiple other disciplines. The Test Development Engineer position presents the unique opportunity to get involved with the new construction test development and maintenance for the VIRGINIA Program, including Virgina Payload Module and Subsea and Seabed Warfare, as well as the COLUMBIA program.
Position responsibilities include representing D460 Test Development at various meetings multiple times a week and communicating with all engineering groups on the identification and prioritization tests based on program and shipyard needs. The Engineer is expected to help with test development and change processing for all D460 test products.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working with Design and Waterfront engineering groups to solve test related issues.
- Review test procedures and products for design updates.
- Working with end users to improve test products (Shipyard Test, Trades, and Government).
- Working with Teamcenter for product reviews.
- Develop, review, and implement changes from Engineering Reports, Diagram Changes, and official correspondence.
- Test Development Engineers are responsible for ensuring the requirements are followed for HM&E test products and provide technical oversight to Test Writers and cognizant system/component engineers during test product development.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Science, or higher, in Engineering
- 1-5 years of post-graduate engineering experience
Preferred:
- Experience working with construction drawings, system diagrams, test forms, and dispositioning ERs, TIRs, or CPRs
- Proficiency with/experience using Teamcenter
- Project management experience
