Gestionnaire, Consultation en placements

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Gestionnaire, Consultation en placements in Canada.

This role is a senior, advisor-facing investment consulting position focused on strengthening portfolio construction and investment discipline across a diverse advisor network. You will work directly with Investment Advisors to analyze portfolios, identify structural risks, and translate complex investment insights into clear, actionable guidance. The position blends portfolio analytics, behavioural coaching, and business development in a highly consultative environment. You will also collaborate closely with internal wholesaler teams and investment specialists to generate opportunities and expand the reach of the consulting program. Acting as a trusted expert, you will help advisors improve risk management and communicate their investment strategies more effectively to clients. This is a dynamic role suited for a professional who thrives at the intersection of investment expertise, client engagement, and strategic influence.

Accountabilities
  • Lead one-on-one investment consulting engagements focused on portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk management, and implementation efficiency.
  • Analyze advisor portfolios to identify structural weaknesses such as concentration risk, style drift, overlap, and inadequate diversification.
  • Translate complex portfolio diagnostics into clear, practical, and advisor-specific recommendations aligned with their investment philosophy and client base.
  • Equip advisors with compelling portfolio narratives to support client conversations and business development efforts.
  • Build and maintain referral relationships with internal wholesaler teams and manage a strong pipeline of advisory consulting opportunities.
  • Support occasional branch visits, industry events, and internal presentations to promote the consulting program.
  • Ensure high-quality execution and consistency across all consulting engagements through strong administrative discipline and process adherence.
Requirements
  • CFA, CIM, or equivalent advanced investment designation strongly preferred; CAIA, CIMA, or FRM considered strong assets.
  • 5+ years of experience in investment consulting, portfolio analytics, asset management, or a related investment-focused role.
  • Strong understanding of modern portfolio theory, asset allocation, risk management, and fixed income markets.
  • Knowledge of investment products including mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, model portfolios, and alternatives.
  • Proven ability to translate portfolio data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills with both advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with tools such as Morningstar, YCharts, or similar platforms is an asset.
  • Fully bilingual in French and English, with the ability to support clients across multiple jurisdictions.
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $123,100 – $173,100 CAD, with additional variable incentive opportunities.
  • Performance-based bonus and participation in company-wide incentive programs.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, mental health, and disability coverage.
  • Retirement savings programs with employer contributions and equity participation options.
  • Generous paid time off including vacation, personal days, and sick leave.
  • Flexible remote work environment supporting work-life balance.
  • Strong learning culture with opportunities for career development and professional growth.
  • Inclusive and flexible workplace focused on well-being, diversity, and employee support.
