This role sits at the heart of revenue cycle operations, combining patient-facing communication with detailed billing and administrative work. You will support patients navigating pharmacy payments, resolve lab invoice discrepancies, and ensure accurate billing records across systems. The position is highly phone-intensive and requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving healthcare environment. You will also collaborate closely with pharmacy partners, clinical teams, and internal operations to ensure billing accuracy and continuity of care. This is a key role for maintaining financial integrity while delivering a smooth and supportive patient experience. In this role, you will support end-to-end billing and revenue cycle processes with a strong focus on patient interaction and operational accuracy.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients regarding pharmacy prescriptions, pricing, and payment coordination
- Coordinate with third-party pharmacy partners to process payments, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Review lab invoices to identify billing errors, duplicate charges, or insurance-related inconsistencies and manage dispute resolution through completion
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, billing activity, disputes, and outcomes across systems
- Handle medical records requests by verifying authorization and ensuring proper fulfillment tracking
- Support data entry, billing record maintenance, and overall data integrity across platforms
- Assist in improving billing workflows, SOPs, and operational processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and internal teams while ensuring timely issue resolution
This position requires strong administrative precision, healthcare billing familiarity, and comfort in a high-volume, patient-facing environment.
- 1–2 years of experience in medical billing, pharmacy billing, healthcare administration, or related support roles
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant is highly valued
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes, lab billing, or third-party pharmacy workflows
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive patient interactions professionally
- High attention to detail with strong follow-through on issue resolution and documentation accuracy
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced, phone-heavy environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and billing or healthcare systems
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare privacy standards is a plus
- Associate degree or higher in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred
