Job Description
Position Summary
Technologist conducts routine tests used in diagnosis and treatment of disease.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Perform MRI/CT procedures at a tech level in accordance with protocols while also maintaining proper quality of control procedures and documenting work processes as required.
2. Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI/CT exams and equipment, concepts, standards, procedures and equipment.
3. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
4. Must be able to work extended hours when necessary.
5. Must be able to perform all MRI/CT safety measures as directed by ACR, as well as maintain a safe and appropriate work environment as well as maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
6. Knowledge of basic patient care and activities may be necessary during exam.
7. Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested. Must work as a team member within the imaging department and all departments as well as perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
● High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Radiology program.
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
● 2 years
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
● National registration with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) with MRI/CT certification.
● Current American Heart Association BLS certification
Preferred:
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Ability to properly position patients to provide quality imaging. Ability to work independently. Complete understanding of MRI applications. Ability to operate equipment. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to manage interactions with difficult people. Knowledge of current medical terminology. Knowledge of imaging techniques to perform routine tests. Knowledge of imaging equipment and testing to perform quality control checks and troubleshooting of instrumentation. Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
