Job Description
The Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for overseeing and reviewing all closed residential, commercial and consumer loans and maintenance of all loan servicing (post closing) functions relating to the various loan types. This includes input and review of closed loan files, maintenance and disbursement of all loan escrows (PMI, life, disability, taxes and homeowners insurance), check back of input, all loan maintenance on a continual basis and monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to various clients. This individual also provides research and preparation of UCC filings, coupon orders, title insurance updates and filings, the selling of serviced notes and the review of the TMS posted transaction journal.
The end result will provide the bank with loan records that are accurate and well maintained.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing excellent customer service on closed loans by answering inquiries and providing information as requested.
- Input/check back/loan doc. review/compliance review of all commercial, residential and consumer loans.
- Selling/Guarantee of Loans to FNMA, VHFA, RD, US Bank & FHLBB
- Disbursement and maintenance of loan escrows
- Review of paid notes reports daily and send out discharges for recording.
- Balancing of various accounts which includes Monthly FNMA & FHLBB, VHFA, FHLBB Gov 30 and SBA and Genworth accounts. Monthly balancing for PMI and FSA Monthly balancing for MGIC & Minnesota Life and Residential & Commercial Appraisal Accounts
- Daily review of Home Owners Policies and uploading to the Allied Website.
Equipment Used:
General Office/Bank Equipment. Manuals/charts/CD ROMS. Loan Software System, Encompass and LaserPro, Internet and Email.
Hours are 8am- 4:30pm- M-F

Requirements:Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1-2 Years of banking experience; Mortgage, Commercial, or Consumer Loan experience preferred
Adherence to Compliance Banking/Lending regulations and Investor Guidelines
Familiarity with Real Estate Transactions
Strong Analytical, Organizational, Decision Making, and Communication Skills
Computer skills (to include Microsoft Office and Internet but not limited to)
Able to retain information and apply to similar and new situations
Work in a fast paced environment and under pressure
Ability to prioritize and multi task
Attention to detail
Professional performance and appearance is essential.
Physical Demands/Conditions Requirements:
General Office/Bank Environment with hybrid remote and onsite work available. Occasional overtime as workload demands. Physical demands – extended periods of sitting and extensive keyboarding.
