Up Fundraising is seeking professional, compassionate, and motivated individuals to join our team as Hospital Fundraisers. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference and are excited to represent hospital foundations and charitable organizations respectfully and engagingly.
Hospital fundraising is a unique environment where every conversation is an extension of care. This role will support the Calgary Health Foundation, with canvassers working on-site at Foothills Medical Centre. Our team members play an important role in creating meaningful donor engagement while reflecting the values of empathy, professionalism, and excellence.
As a Hospital Fundraiser, you will engage with patients, families, visitors, and staff to share the mission and impact of our hospital foundation partners and inspire monthly donor support.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent hospital foundations and charity partners with professionalism, integrity, and empathy
- Share the mission, impact, and importance of hospital fundraising initiatives with authenticity and enthusiasm
- Inspire individuals to become monthly donors in support of hospital programs, research, and patient care
- Create positive donor experiences through respectful, compassionate, and meaningful conversations
- Demonstrate situational awareness and sensitivity within the hospital environment
- Maintain a calm, polished, and approachable presence when interacting with patients, families, visitors, and staff
- Accurately collect donor information and process donor enrollments
- Meet or exceed daily and weekly fundraising goals
Candidate Profile

- Professional, polished, and compassionate in presentation and communication
- Resilient, self-motivated, and able to manage rejection positively
- Passionate about supporting charitable causes and healthcare initiatives
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude
- Able to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced and sensitive environment
- Proficient in spoken and written English
Compensation and Benefits
Pay
- Starting wage of $18.75 per hour
- Average earnings of approximately $26 per hour, including performance-based bonuses
