**2nd & 3rd Shift Premium: $5.00 per/hour** (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift openings available)

AmeriQual Foods is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential repairs and maintenance on a variety of food manufacturing equipment to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • · Assist on new equipment installation, working professionally with manufacturing representatives, the Engineering team, and other cross-functional department team members
  • · Diagnose equipment malfunctions utilizing inspection, operation and testing of equipment for diagnostic purposes. Provide support for root cause analysis to create corrective actions used to prevent repeat issues
  • · Perform equipment calibrations and preventive maintenance, including but not limited to lubrication and frequency-based tasks
  • · Understand and adhere to all safety guidelines and GMPs, including Confined Space and LOTO
  • · Understand when to contact technical support for assistance for equipment repair or replacement
  • · Update the computerized maintenance system with accurate information related to work performed
  • · Exhibit a sense of urgency around work order completion and documentation of work performed; must be comfortable quickly escalating and communicating equipment issues to others for support
  • · Use of CI Tools such as 5 Why for root cause analysis and problem-solving

Qualifications

  • · Successful candidates will have a 2-year degree in Industrial Maintenance or two-plus years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • · Strong mechanical abilities and troubleshooting aptitude required; Electrical experience and instrumentation calibration strongly preferred
  • · Experience with machine assembly, light fabrication, welding, and machine tool operation preferred
  • · PLC systems troubleshooting preferred
  • · Ability to read and understand drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical assembly, etc.
  • · Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
  • · Professional, can-do mentality
  • · Ability to multi-task and prioritize; strong time management skills with the ability to work without extensive supervision
  • · Thorough working knowledge of all current OSHA and Safety Standards

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, and climb for prolonged periods of time; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; and reach with hands and arms. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, being able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery, and using specialized tools, equipment, and machines is required. Duties include intricate repairs, which will require working in confined spaces, on and around complex machinery and packaging systems, requiring a high level of manual dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The position will also require frequenting the production floor, so operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required. Work is completed in a facility where nuts, fruits, and other allergens are present.
