Miller Pipeline is hiring a Meter Technician to connectand disconnect meters, read electric, gas, water, or steam consumption meters and record volume used by residential and commercial consumers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Receive service orders on a daily basis from the utility office.
• Connect and disconnect meters.
• Perform read-outs or read-ins.
• Walk or drive truck over established route and takes readings of meter dials.
• Inspect meters and connections for defects, damage, and unauthorized connections.
• Indicate irregularities on forms for necessary action by servicing department.
• Verify readings to locate abnormal consumption and records reasons for fluctuations.
• Assist utility employees in rerouting when necessary.
• Return route book to business office for billing purposes.
• Responsible for ensuring that company vehicles and equipment receive the proper care and maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 monthsrelated experience or training.
• Meter Service Technician certificate.
• Current Driver's License and clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year gas construction experience.
