About the Engagement

We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled IT Field Technician for a contract engagement covering approximately 50 client sites across the greater Los Angeles area. Each site will take 2-8 hours of documentation. This is a project-based role with the potential for ongoing work.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Travel to client sites throughout the LA area to deploy and configure our Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) agent/toolset
  • Validate successful installation and connectivity back to our management platform
  • Document the on-site environment, including hardware inventory, network topology basics, and any notable infrastructure observations
  • Communicate findings clearly via our provided documentation templates
  • Act as a professional representative of our company while on-site with clients

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of hands-on IT support or field technician experience
  • Comfort working independently at client sites with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with RMM platforms (e.g., NinjaRMM, ConnectWise RMM, Datto RMM, Syncro, etc.) — training on our specific toolset will be provided
  • Basic networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, switches, firewalls)
  • Strong attention to detail for documentation tasks
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (mileage reimbursement available — specify if applicable)
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
  • Ability to pass a background check

Nice to Have

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications
  • Prior MSP experience
  • Experience with network documentation tools (e.g., IT Glue, Hudu, Auvik)
  • Logistics
  • Independent Contractor (1099)
  • Flexible scheduling, coordinated in advance with each client

Estimated project duration: [2 - 4 weeks]

  • Work is conducted on-site across the Los Angeles metro area
  • Financial bonuses are available for work that exceeds timeline expectations and meets established quality standards.
