While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform the following: Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to solve problems and make decisions. Occasionally requires lifting of 50 pounds or more of equipment, able to push in excess of 150 pound wheelchair with patient and equipment, and occasionally lifts patients with assist 125 pounds or more using proper body mechanics. Spends eight hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse. Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations of CPR and obtaining equipment. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Has a keen sense of hearing and keen visual acuity to respond to critical changing patient situations from actual observations and/or equipment alarms. May be subject to inside environmental conditions, hazards (including electrical currents and exposure to high heat and chemicals) and infectious diseases. May have to function around prisoners or mental patients.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Potential for work on rotating shifts. Holiday and work during inclement weather will be required. You may be asked to work longer hours and assignments may change during your shift. Floating to other areas is occasionally required based on hospital needs. Seasonal call shifts are required.
