We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner / Custodian to join our Forest Hill team in a full-time, permanent role. This position is essential to keeping our store safe, organized, and looking its best every single day.Position SummaryThe Cleaner / Custodian plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness throughout the retail store, lunchroom, washrooms, office spaces, and customer-facing areas. This role supports overall store operations while assisting customers and helping other departments when needed.Key Responsibilities• Sweep, mop, and clean all retail floor areas throughout the day
• Clean and sanitize washrooms, lunchrooms, office spaces, and high-touch surfaces
• Dust shelves, fixtures, and product displays to maintain a tidy and welcoming store environment
• Assist with organizing and facing products to keep aisles neat and visually appealing
• Remove garbage and recycling from all designated areas and maintain waste stations
• Support staff and customers by assisting with carry-outs and general customer service
• Maintain supply levels for cleaning materials and notify management when replenishment is needed
• Support other departments with cleaning, tidying, or organizing tasks as required
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures
• Contribute to a positive, friendly, and helpful store atmosphereQualifications• Previous cleaning, custodial, or janitorial experience preferred (retail experience an asset)
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment
• Ability to lift 30–40 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
