The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
The Office Coordinator facilitates the organization and management of information and administrative flow for the department. She/he will maintain the reception/registration desk, scheduling, patient medical records. Tasks will include, but are not limited to handling of legal documents, facilitate commitment court proceedings, distribute patient satisfaction surveys, data entry. She/he will be assigned additional duties by the Director as deemed appropriate.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Graduate
- Strong computer knowledge and skills, demonstrated organizational, communication and time management skills, clerical experience with medical terminology and knowledge of managed care and billing practices
- Use of fax, copier
Preferred:
- Bachelor/Associates Degree or 2 years Business School preferred
Scheduling Requirements:
- Shift- 9:00am- 5:00pm
- Monday-Friday
- Full Time/Day
Essential Functions:
- Performs a wide variety of typing assignments including correspondence, reports, forms, etc. on electronic typewriters and or personal computer
- Maintains and retrieves program files in an organized fashion.
- Photocopies documents for program staff
- Is capable of using fax machines and faxes all required program documents, retrieves faxed material
- Answers the telephone for program staff, takes messages when staff are unavailable
- Responsible for maintaining daily patient visiting schedule.
- Opens, sorts, and distributes mail appropriately
- Receives visitors into the program and notifies appropriate staff
- Maintains program’s supply inventory, orders supply in a timely fashion, ensures efficient distribution of supplies
- Performs routine data collection, organizes the data and prepares the organized data in report form
- Takes minutes of meetings when required
- Performs other related duties as directed
