Position Overview
The Member Care Advisor is a full-time remote position focused on delivering exceptional service and support to NCD members and providers.
Selected active-duty service members will begin in a structured SkillBridge training and onboarding period prior to separation from the military. Upon completion of military service, the participant will transition into full-time employment with NCD in this role.
What You’ll Do
Handle inbound and outbound communication with members and providers Support clients via phone, email, and chat Review member policies and answer questions regarding benefits, billing, enrollment updates, and disputes Accurately document all interactions in CRM systems Escalate complex issues appropriately Maintain working knowledge of products and services Meet performance goals related to service quality, KPIs, attendance, and schedule adherence Build trust with members and improve retentionStructured Onboarding & Training
During the SkillBridge period, participants will:
Complete 2–4 weeks of structured remote training Learn insurance fundamentals and product knowledge Receive systems training (CRM, communication platforms, internal tools) Shadow experienced team members Gradually assume live member interactions with coaching support Receive regular feedback and performance development guidanceIdeal Military Background
This role aligns well with service members who have experience in:
Personnel administration Medical support or healthcare operations Logistics coordination Finance/pay services Communications or call center environments Any operational role requiring documentation accuracy and process disciplineTransferable strengths include:

Active-duty service member within 180 days of separation 2+ years of customer service or administrative experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient in MS Office and computer systems Ability to multitask across multiple platforms Bilingual (Spanish) is a plusWork Environment
