Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist (Client Service Representative)

Binder Animal Hospital is looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented Part-Time Client Service Representative to be the friendly face and reassuring voice of our hospital. As our primary first impression, you play a vital role in ensuring our clients and patients feel cared for from the moment they call or walk through our doors.

As our primary first impression, you play a vital role in ensuring our clients and patients feel cared for from the moment they call or walk through our doors.
What You'll Do
- You'll help keep our hospital running smoothly by:
- Greeting clients and patients warmly and professionally
- Scheduling appointments thoughtfully and efficiently
- Managing medical records and invoices accurately
- Presenting treatment plans and discussing fees with confidence and compassion
- Communicating clearly via phone, email, and text
- Assisting with admitting and discharging patients
- Processing payments and handling financial transactions
- Preparing lab samples and maintaining organized records
- Supporting doctors and technicians as needed
- Helping maintain a clean, welcoming facility
You'll often juggle multiple tasks at once, always with tact, empathy, and professionalism.

- Loves animals and can safely handle pets who may be nervous, ill, or injured
- Remains calm and efficient during medical emergencies

- Demonstrates emotional intelligence and empathy
- Is committed to personal and professional growth
- Veterinary experience is preferred but not required — we are willing to train the right person with strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Veterinary or medical front desk experience preferred
- Client Service Certification is a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with veterinary software (such as Cornerstone) is helpful
- Basic math skills (discounts, percentages, invoices)
- Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Moderate noise level (it is a veterinary hospital, after all!)
- Ability to stay focused and productive in a busy environment
