This role includes participation in our Casting Apprenticeship Program, designed for individuals who want to build a long-term career in the foundry industry.

Through hands-on training and mentorship, you will:

    • Learn the fundamentals of aluminum permanent mold casting
    • Progress from finishing operations into casting responsibilities
    • Receive structured, on-the-job training supported by experienced Cell Leaders
    • Develop technical skills, safety awareness, and continuous improvement practices
    • Gain opportunities for advancement into higher-skilled casting roles

No prior casting experience is required – we invest in your development and support your growth every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Participate fully in training programs provided
    • Manufacture castings in a team-oriented production environment
    • Perform cutting, sanding and grinding of castings
    • Progress into casting duties as training milestones are achieved
    • Work collaboratively with other Finishers, Casters and Cell Leaders to meet delivery commitments
    • Apply 5S and Continuous Improvement practices

What You Bring:

    • Ability to follow procedures and willingness to learn new skills
    • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
    • Ability to communicate in English (verbal & written)
    • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
    • Flexibility with working overtime
    • Previous exposure to a lean manufacturing environment is an asset​​​​​​
