About This Position

Developmental Specialist – Early Intervention

Aspire Behavioral Services is seeking a Developmental Specialist to join our Early Intervention team and provide individualized services to infants and toddlers (ages 0–3) with developmental delays or disabilities. In this role, you will deliver home-based and community-based early intervention services that promote cognitive, social-emotional, communication, adaptive, and physical development. You will conduct developmental screenings and assessments, develop and implement intervention strategies aligned with each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), and monitor progress toward meaningful developmental outcomes.

The Developmental Specialist partners closely with families and caregivers, coaching them to embed developmental strategies into daily routines and natural environments. You will collaborate regularly with interdisciplinary team members including Service Coordinators, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and BCBAs to ensure coordinated, family-centered care. Timely and accurate documentation in compliance with Nevada Part C and IDEA requirements is an essential component of this position.

This role requires strong knowledge of early childhood development, excellent communication and documentation skills, and the ability to work independently in home and community settings. Frequent travel within the service area is required.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field and have at least one year of experience working with children ages 0–3 with developmental delays or special needs. Nevada Department of Education Endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education (or eligibility to obtain within three years) is required. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation for home visits, and the ability to pass background and motor vehicle record checks. CPR-BLS certification and annual HIPAA/FERPA training compliance are required.
