LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse

Part Time 1st shift, 6a-2:30p including every other weekend

Requirements for an LPN:

• Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio and NAPNES certified
• 2 yrs experience preferred.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.
• Must have good clinical skills and be self-directed and conscientious.
• Must relate well to residents and staff.

Responsibilities for an LPN:

• Supervise and evaluate all care and activities provided and initiate corrective action as appropriate. Communicates staff observations to nursing supervisor.
• Identify special nursing problems and emergency situations quickly and initiate immediate "lifesaving" measures in the absence of a physician.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician's order and accurately record medications and treatments as administered.
• Document resident care provided and resident's response or lack of response to treatment provided following proper documentation procedures; notes are complete, accurate, and written legibly; charts weekly wound descriptions, incidental notes, monthly summaries, 24-hour notes.
