About This Position
Description:
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead and coordinate field operations on commercial, industrial, and civil sitework projects. The Superintendent will oversee daily site activities including excavation, grading, utilities, drainage, and site preparation while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications. This role requires strong leadership, knowledge of sitework operations, and the ability to manage crews and equipment effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of sitework crews.
- Read and interpret construction plans & specifications.
- Manage excavation, grading, utility installation, drainage, and site preparation work.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Coordinate with General Superintendent, subcontractors, and inspectors.
- Monitor quality control and ensure work meets project specifications.
- Train and mentor crew members and promote a strong safety culture.
- Track daily production and maintain jobsite reports.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in sitework construction preferred.
- Previous experience as a superintendent, foreman or crew leader preferred.
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, underground utilities, and drainage systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and grading plans.
- Experience operating or supervising operation of heavy equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Continually required to walk, talk and hear.
- Continually required to utilize hand and finer dexterity.
- Continually utilize visual acuity to perform tasks on job sites.
- Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
- Continually required to lift/push/pull/carry items less than 50 lbs.
- Frequently lift/push/pull/carry items over 50 lbs.
