Material Handler at QUANTUM DESIGN INC – San Diego, California

The Material Handler will be responsible for performing the physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.

• Transfers materials, equipment, kits, and supplies required for efficient material flow through production/assembly areas.
• Physically transfers material to assembly work stations, maintains bench stock, and handles completed assemblies between work areas or cost centers.
• Locates and transfers parts within the facility that may be required for the completion of assemblies.
• Verify and maintains associated stock records, logs, shortage reports, and other documentation.
• Utilize small hand tools and may operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet handlers, skids, hand trucks, and the like.

• Requires experience in shipping, receiving or stores, production control and reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills
• High School Diploma
• Computer experience in Microsoft Excel, and ERP systems
• Physical requirements include standing for long periods, sitting, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs
