What You’ll Do:

1. Lead by example, promote company values, prioritize safety, and foster a positive work culture.
2. Collaborate with your team to efficiently and safely construct set forms for structural concrete, paving, and foundation projects based on blueprints or oral instructions.
3. Measure and mark cutting lines on boards, timbers, and plywood using precision tools.
4. Shape materials to the required size with saws, chisels, and planes.
5. Safely operate carpentry tools, including hammers, levels, screwdrivers, power saws, and drills.
6. Construct and brace concrete-supporting forms using cleats, tie rods, and anchor bolts.
7. Work with rebar, construct chutes, and align panels for concrete pouring.
8. Assist in concrete placement and finishing.
9. Rig materials for transport into and out of excavations.
10. Verify the accuracy of structures using transits, lasers, squares, levels, and strings.
11. Interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine material needs and project dimensions.
12. Support your team with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, always striving for improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

1. Skills: Proficient in reading, writing, and basic math (addition and subtraction). Able to interpret flat drawings or diagrams into solid structures.
2. Experience: 5+ years of carpentry experience, with at least 2 years in heavy highway construction.
3. Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods. Able to work in extreme weather conditions.
4. Tools and Safety: Skilled in the use of carpentry tools and committed to safety practices.

Preferred Certifications and Training:

1. Advanced Concrete Principles
2. Basic Plan Reading
3. Small Tools Training
4. Small Tool Care and Safety
