Pharmacy Delivery Driver at Whole Family Health Center Inc – Vero Beach, Florida

Job Summary: Serves patients with delivery of prescriptions. The Pharmacy Delivery Driver also assists the pharmacists, multidisciplinary health care team, and patients with medication-related issues; delivers medications to patients; assists pharmacist with MTM’s, maintaining medication inventory and clinic formulary, 340 B compliance. All duties and responsibilities are essential functions and requirements and are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities. This is a position of trust.

Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills are required for this position. Information must be exchanged using tact and persuasion appropriately. The person in this position must be able to communicate with the patients, staff, and others; and contribute to a positive environment. The ability to communicate in Spanish, Creole, or both is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe delivery of prescription medication.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks; planning delivery routes to maximize efficiency and productivity for the day.
• Safe driving and operation of delivery vehicle to deliver/pick up prescriptions to patients’ home or place of business.
• Coordinate paperwork and payment with the customer as required: return to the pharmacy with proper co-pays and delivery signatures.
• Loading, unloading, and maintaining the delivery vehicle in good operating condition.
• Meet established delivery deadlines to ensure compliance.
• Provide friendly service and delivery for existing and new customers.
• Must be able to communicate in both written and verbal form of all levels.
• Excellent teamwork skills are necessary.
• Ability to solve minor problems and recognize when to involve management.
• Responsible for compliance with workplace policies and procedures.
• Identify and report health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage.
• Proper utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Basic computer skills required to include ability to become proficient with Excel spreadsheets.

Work Experience Requirements:

• Must be at least 25 years old due to insurance regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• WFHC requires all employees, volunteers and contracted individuals working full or part time at any of our facilities to have received the COVID-19 vaccination.
• Must have all necessary vaccinations. A PPD Test is done once upon hired.
• Must successfully complete a Level 2 background and MVR clearance.
• Must possess and maintain a valid FL driver’s license & clean MVR.
• All applicants must provide a current and clean 7-year MVR report.
• Education Requirements Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalency preferred.

Requirements:

• Level 2 background clearance required.
• Must have all necessary vaccinations. A PPD Test is done once upon hired.
• Employee must pass Motor Vehicle Report screening and be insurable.
