POSITION PURPOSE:
Position is responsible for coordinating and implementing the Heritage Support Grants Program

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Implement all stages of the grant program for both the applicants and the review panel.
  2. Serve as an authority, both internally and externally, on grant software.
  3. Maintain data, anecdotal and evidence based, to share with internal and external shareholders.
  4. Evaluate granting process, making changes as needed.
  5. Provide assistance with other department initiatives such as traveling exhibits
  6. Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  1. Excellent computer skills and comfort with, or willingness to learn, grant management software.
  2. Ability to prioritize and organize tasks and multiple deadlines.
  3. Strong communication skills-ability to communicate in a variety of ways with a variety of audiences.
  4. Ability to travel and work some evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or applicable work experience and valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Movement – Stooping, Bending, Kneeling, and Crouching In order to reach & pick up items
Strength – Ability to lift & carry items weighing up to 35 pounds
Wrist & Visual Stamina – Ability to type and focus on a computer screen for prolonged periods of time
