About This Position

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Machinist to join our team in a fast-paced machining service. The Machinist will be responsible for producing high-quality machined parts to strict tolerances and specifications while maintaining a safe and organized working environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Determine work procedures, machine tools, equipment, and attachments to be used for assigned work.
  • Utilize strong analytical and mathematical skills to perform accurate calculations and measurements.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all aspects of the job
  • Use precision measuring instruments and equipment such as Vernier calipers, height gauges, inside, outside, and depth micrometers, parallels, gage blocks, dial indicators, and surface gages to attain accurate dimensions and maintain tolerances
  • Set up and operate machines, including but not limited to, lathes, vertical turret lathes, horizontal boring mills, and Bridgeport knee mills
  • Read and understand prints, and apply knowledge of concentricity, parallelism, surface finish, and tolerances in both imperial and metric units to ensure accurate production of parts
  • Work in around production machinery with extreme noise levels
  • Wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
  • Maintain focus and multitask effectively
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a machining
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and understand technical drawings and prints
  • Knowledge of machine tools, equipment, and attachments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
