What You’ll Do:
• Perform, interpret, and correlate clinical laboratory procedures in a prompt, accurate, and reliable manner to assist physicians in patient diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain turn-around time standards in Emergency Department, timed, and STAT testing
• Document quality control procedures and preventative maintenance performed
• Comply with OSHA and regulatory requirements by following established procedures in order to maintain a safe laboratory environment and meet accreditation standards
• Correlate test results with diagnosis and question incompatible results, and correlate laboratory methods, procedures, and patient test results with age-specific population criteria, i.e. geriatrics, adults, pediatrics, and neonates
• Maintain flexibility required to adapt to laboratory needs as related to testing and scheduling
• Demonstrate broad knowledge of all laboratory departments
• Demonstrate confidence in learning new routines and methods and assist others when asked

What We’re Looking For:
Required
• Associate’s degree in Medical Technology
• Internship in a hospital laboratory
• Successful completion of the registration exam of a nationally recognized licensing agency, i.e. ASCP, NCA, ASCLT
• Excellent analytical skills, be able to work under pressure, be detail oriented and organized
• Have good manual dexterity and good color vision
Preferred:
• BS in Medical Technology
• 2 years’ practical experience
Required
