Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Setup & Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role responsible for independently programming, setting up, and operating CNC press brakes to produce high-quality sheet metal components to customer specifications.
The ideal candidate is a skilled fabricator who can read blueprints, determine bend sequences, select tooling, perform complete machine setups, and ensure parts meet quality requirements from first-piece inspection through production. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, works safely, and contributes to a positive team environment.
Schedule1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Occasional overtime on Fridays may be required based on production demands.
Essential Responsibilities- Program, set up, and operate CNC press brake equipment to produce precision sheet metal components
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications to determine tooling, bend sequences, and machine setup requirements
- Select, install, and align tooling to ensure efficient production and dimensional accuracy
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments
- Verify part dimensions and quality standards while maintaining required production rates
- Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and forming issues to minimize downtime and scrap
- Perform routine machine maintenance and daily equipment inspections
- Accurately record production and quality information as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, engineering, and leadership teams to meet customer and production requirements
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Minimum 3 years of experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC press brakes in a manufacturing environment
- Strong sheet metal fabrication background with the ability to form a variety of materials, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Ability to independently perform complete machine setups with minimal supervision
- Experience determining tooling requirements and bend sequences from engineering drawings
- Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Working knowledge of press brake tooling, setup techniques, and preventative maintenance
- Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools
- Strong math skills, including fractions, decimals, and metric conversions
- Ability to identify and resolve quality and production issues
- Experience with Amada® and/or Safan Darley® press brakes is highly preferred
