Job Summary:
- Provides educational support to unit-based staff to assist in achieving effective, high-quality patient care. Obtains and interprets outcome data and uses the data to develop staff education in areas needing additional education.

Education:
- Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and 5 years of clinical experience or RN with 10 years clinical experience.

Registration/Certification/Licensure:
- RN Licensure

Experience:
- Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and 5 years of clinical experience or RN with 10 years clinical experience.

Other Requirements:
- Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
- Effectively communicates with staff and all patient populations by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.
- Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.
- Demonstrates proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements.
- Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment producing quality work.
- Previous experience as an educator and/or related experiences, required.
- Effective presentation, teambuilding, and project management skills.
- Knowledgeable of Joint Commission, CMS, and Maryland Board of Nursing regulations.
- Unit Specific Professional certification preferred.
- Membership in related professional organization is recommended.
