About This Position
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director Cardiology Service Line, the Non-Invasive Cardiology Supervisor assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the day-to-day activities of the Non-Invasive Cardiology Department. This person communicates with physicians, nursing, and all ancillary departments for the coordination of patient care. Provides direction to the development and evaluation of all personnel within the Non-Invasive Cardiology Department. The Non-Invasive Cardiology Supervisor maintains 24-hour accountability. Performs all Cardiology Non-Invasive procedures and rotates through on call schedule.
Job Responsibilities
- Directs, controls, maintains assigned areas.
- Processes timecard verification and approvals
- Assists with financial analysis on an on-going basis, identify trends, and utilize data to improve operations.
- Assist in the accurate and appropriate management and audit process of patient charges.
Education/Experience
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing, or an accredited school of Non-invasive Cardiology, Ultrasound,
or Radiology Technology, along with a current state licensure/registration.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences preferred.
- If a graduate from an accredited school of Non-invasive Cardiology, Ultrasound, or Radiology Technology; current credentials as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS/RCS) AND Vascular Technologist (RVT and RVS) from the ARDMS/CCI. (If only registered in one field, must obtain registry in second field within 6 months of hire) or current ARRT registered Radiology Technologist.
- 2-3 years charge or supervisory experience in Non-Invasive Cardiology, Interventional Radiology or Special Imaging preferred.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within 6 months from starting date.
